Register Now for Choir Camp!

An opportunity for children of our church to participate in a short musical will  take place during the first week of August (AUGUST 2-6), when we will have our annual choir camp.  Register at the church, or download this form now.
At this week-long camp we will work on the musical “Moses and the Freedom Fanatics”.  This is the story of the Children of Israel and their leaving from Egypt to journey to the promised land.  The camp will start at 9 a.m. and conclude by 1:30 p.m. each day during the first full week of August.
At the conclusion of the camp, we will perform the musical two times at our Sunday morning worship services (AUGUST 8, services at 8:45 and 10:30).
As part of the camp, there will be crafts, costuming, blocking of scenes, scene creation, choreography, snacks and a time of worship each day.  There is a small cost of $20 to cover program materials, craft supplies, some of the snacks (those that are not donated), and the Friday “mystery” meal.  A sign up sheet for donations of specific craft needs, and snack foods will be placed on the Music Ministries bulletin board located in the hallway near the offices.
Registration forms for this summer’s choir camp will be placed in a pocket on the music ministries bulletin board, made available for online registration, and  distributed during the summer VBS.  For more information, please speak with Mark Herr
This will be our fourth annual choir camp.  It is open to children who have sung in Children’s choir, friends of the children, and the children of members who are unable to participate in the weekly choir program that takes place on Wednesday evenings during the school year.  The ages for the camp run from children who have completed kindergarten through fifth grade.
Music is here, staff is being lined up, and craft and game ideas are being compiled.  Don’t forget to get your registrations in by the end of July.  The deadline for registration will be July 31.

Mark Herr is is the Director of Music Ministry at Trinity Lutheran Church.
